there have been lots of internal switcheroos @ SD. It does suck dick. They were frivilous with their spending and overly optimistic. They spent tens of thousands of dollars on their productions, the market just isn’t right for that yet. Cartoon Network will be way better. Enforcing the viewer’s down payment on their shows is a surefire guarantee of continued success. I worked on a Super Deluxe production (Tim and Eric: Nite Live) for 3 months this year, it was awesome to be there and do that but… it’s not Awesome Show, Great Job. I just feel badly for Dougg’s Poundcasts… oh well, I guess those that are passionate will still remain in the game, they will innovate it. SD = Turner = the old media, we can and will do better. I am still surprised Dalas knew before me. Comesoon.“Yet another comedy site fails to deliver its overpromise … paidContent has learned that Turner told staff today it is folding SuperDeluxe.com into AdultSwim.com, and laying off much of the SuperDeluxe team.”
The paid content internet comedy world must be really exhausting.
This is sad. I was really stoked to see these types of websites cropping up.
